What you get
For runners who read their numbers
A dashboard you build
Pick from 19 widgets: weekly mileage, heart rate zone mix, VO2 max, resting heart rate, records, streaks and distance goals. Arrange them in the order you read them.
Every run, in detail
Route map, splits, one chart for pace, heart rate and elevation, time in HR zones, cadence and running form (power, ground contact, vertical oscillation, stride length).
Signals most apps hide
Grade-adjusted pace, heart rate drift, negative split and consistency scores. Moving time next to elapsed time, so pauses recorded with the workout do not count as running.
Months and years of progress
Weekly easy pace in heart rate zones 1 and 2, a load ratio that weighs recent days against a longer stretch, and your VO2 max on a four-level cardio fitness scale.
Records and race predictions
Fastest 1K, mile, 5K and 10K, longest run and biggest week, updated on their own. Predicted 5K, 10K, half and full marathon times from your recent best efforts.
Any two runs, side by side
Distance, pace, heart rate, cadence, power, climb and weather, line by line, with the difference marked.
A heatmap of your routes
Up to 200 of your recent runs on one map, getting warmer the more often you go back.
Widgets
Weekly goal, last run, streak and cardio fitness on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.
Your Year in Running
A year-end recap built from your own runs, ready to share.
House rules
A few stubborn rules
One payment
No subscription, no ads, no upsells. You pay once and the app is yours.
No account
No login, no cloud, no servers. Your runs stay on your iPhone.
No tracking
No analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. The App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected, and it means it.
Read-only
TrueRun reads Apple Health and never writes to it, so your Health data stays exactly as it is.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. TrueRun reads running workouts from Apple Health, whether they come from an Apple Watch or from another app that saves runs to Health. Heart rate, routes and running form appear when the source records them.
Is there a subscription or anything to unlock?
No. You pay once in the App Store and get the whole app. There are no in-app purchases and no ads.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Everything is calculated on your iPhone. TrueRun has no account and no servers, and it only reads from Apple Health.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 26 or later. There is no iPad or Mac version yet.
What language is the app in?
The app is in English. Distances can be shown in kilometres or miles.
Can I take my runs elsewhere?
Yes. Any run can be exported as a GPX file, and all of your TrueRun data as one JSON file.
